good game, easy to use and good graphics
Ive written a Gin Rummy program (twice, in different programming languages) and was embarassed at just how well the user interface worked. Game play was effortless. The algorithm for the programs AI needs a bit of refinement because I won too often, but then again - I WON!
this is a great game. something quick for waiting in line, or a game can go longer than a few minutes. I really like it, its easy and user friendly. :)
Crashes all too often. Does not allow me to display cards the way I want them. I am forced to use the authors layout… which just doesnt work well for me. Way too easy to win, when it doesnt crash.
Great game. Lots of fun.
I love the game of gin rummy and thid app allows me to play when I’m alone ( witch is all the time.) great graphics and great fun a must download love the graphics and the game play
I loved this game as a kid. I would play for hours with my grand parents and later with my mom during her chemo treatments. It is crisp and fun and love the sounds.
I grew up playing Russian Rummy and had never heard of Gin Rummy. This was easy to learn, yet enjoyable. I am now addicted!!
Gin Rummy was a game “Dorothy” & “Sophia" frequently played on The Golden Girls. Ive never took the time to learn how to play, but after playing a few rounds I can see why the characters played it as often as they did. No negatives about it.
nice easy to win game
You have to understand gin to play it a bit. The game do walk you through most of it. Just remember you don’t have to Pass, unless you don’t have any good hands to play. Gin is not so easy to get but you do have the option to knock which will help you on winning. Good luck for all You gunners
Great fun and nice and quick, nobody to wait for and makes the time go by, great card game and now I don’t play solitare anymore
Normal strategy in gin rummy dictates that you put together matched cards or runs, while discarding unmatched cards (high cards first) so as not to get caught with them should the opponent gin first. In this game, the opponent discards ALL cards 10 and higher, even when it already has 2 of that card or even a book of 3 of that card. Note that the opponent, in the rare occasion when it wins a hand, NEVER has a book of 3 cards 10 or higher. At the beginning of a hand, if the opponent has, for example, 2 Jacks, and you discard a Jack, the opponent NEVER picks up your Jack to make a book. Note that the opponent ALWAYS discards cards 10 or higher, even when your actions make it obvious that you are holding those cards. I see no way to change any of that in game preferences. It’s stupid, I tell ya. Stupid.
I like to play an easy, fun game. This one fits the bill. It is easy to see, easy to maneuver, easy to win, quick animation and crisp graphics.
this is a good gin rummy game. nothing extra, just gin rummy. its free, what do you expect?
The game is fun. Enjoy playing.
The game is a decent practice for beginning or experienced Gin players. The emphasis on the play is knocking, which is based on having 10 or less points. In actual play, the card that is turned up determines the amount that you can knock with. When you knock, if you have less points than the opponent, you subract their points exceeding the points in your cards you cannot meld in either runs or three or four of a kind. The opponents cards can be added to your melds and you can be undercut. A Gin or an undercut is worth 25 points to which you add the opponents excess points.
fun but would prefer a little more control of my cards, to sort as i wish and knock when i want instead of having to wait for the game to make decisions. otherwise i am enjoying it once i figure out that it would eventually let me know. OF course then you have no other choice, unless i am missing something. carry on!
Good, light, fun. instructions are good, graphics clean, no glitches. Great mindless fun
I am happy to find this great GIN RUMMY game. I have not played against another person for so long that I forgot how it is played. After two hands, it all came back to me. Action is fine, smooth and at a nice pace. Going full screen though cuts off the very top of the play field including half of the opponent’s cards. Instead I manually stretch diagnonally. That is the only problem I find.
